In in the dirt, McFadden interweaves photographs, sculpture, text, and video to examine the inner workings and the visceral charges of sexual connection, as they manifest in the context of his own, everyday life. in the dirt explores the artist’s journey into the overlapping space between sex, protest, intimacy, and shame in a post-PrEP environment.
